Making a booking
Appointments can be made online at any time, or call 1300 172 996 Monday to Friday, from 8.00am to 5.00pm.
New to the clinic?
New patients are welcome. Please provide your details during the online booking process or if you have booked over the phone. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first visit.
Appointment length
Routine appointments are generally 15 minutes long. If you require a longer consultation, please let the reception staff know when you are making your booking (or choose the longer consult option when booking online).
As some examples, you will need a longer appointment for the following:
- Mental Health consults
- Minor surgical procedures
- Health Checks
- Pap Smears
- Health Management Plans
- Health assessments
- Childhood immunisations
- Iron infusions
Fees
Bulk billing
This is a mixed billing general practice and a GAP fee will apply for most consults from the 1st of February 2022.
Bulk billing will only apply for:
- Children under the age 16
- Holders of a valid Commonwealth Health Care Card
- Follow up appointments for results
- GP directed Telehealth appointments
Gap billing
If you are not eligible for bulk billing, you will be charged a gap fee:
- All domestic and international students will be charged a $10 gap fee for all consults (Effective 1st February 2022). Students must show a valid student ID to be eligible for the reduced gap fee.
- UniSA Staff members will be charged a discounted gap fee of $30.
- Members of the public who are not eligible for bulk billing will be charged a standard gap fee of $40 for most consultations (see fee schedules)
- A gap fee will apply to all patient directed Telehealth phone/video consults (including students and concession card holders). This fee includes the processing fees from our payment provider.
We require upfront payment at the time of your consult (including any gap fees) upfront, and then claim the MBS amount back from Medicare or your private health insurer (OSHC/OVHC)
Cancellations
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call us as soon as possible. If you do not attend your appointment, and haven’t informed us beforehand, you will be charged a fee. This fee is payable before any future appointments can be made.
Other fees
Additional fees will apply for private vaccines, wound dressings, excisions, iron infusions, and procedures (i.e: Implanon or Mirena/Kyleena insertions/removals), and other consumables not listed here. This includes UniSA staff and students requiring flu vaccines administered outside of the designated free flu clinics provided by the university. Please speak to our reception staff to see if you will incur a fee.
Administrative requests such as printing/emailing of health records, transfer of medical notes and insurance reports may also be incur a fee.
