Student-led Allied Health Appointments

Services are delivered by allied health students studying at the University of South Australia (UniSA) and supervised by experienced allied health professionals. Patients will have the unique opportunity to access comprehensive healthcare while contributing to the training and education of the future healthcare workforce.

By participating in our clinics, patients will access a range of allied health services at a low cost. Our students will provide assessment and therapy under supervision, ensuring that the care aligns with industry standards.

Our students are passionate about working in allied health and eager to provide patients with the best possible care. This often means more personalised attention and a comprehensive approach to patient care. Students take the time to listen to patient concerns, answer questions, and develop tailored treatment plans.

Our clinics value teamwork and collaboration amongst our multidisciplinary allied health team. This approach ensures that patients can receive holistic care to address their healthcare needs.

*Please note that the availability of student-led services is subject to student placement schedules. There may be periods throughout the year where appointments are unavailable due to university holidays. We endeavour to maintain continuity of service as best as we can. Clinician-led services may be an option during this time.

For more information about our student-led services, please see our FAQ’s or contact us directly.

We understand that our patients may find difficulty in attending in-person consultations due to a range of barriers including location, travel time, costs, and busy schedules. Telehealth will enable patients to receive healthcare services through the comfort of their home or anywhere they choose, improving the accessibility of services.

Telehealth consultations can be provided either over the phone or by video through Zoom. Patients will need to ensure that they have the technology available to use Zoom, either through a smartphone, tablet, or computer/laptop with a webcam.

Patients accessing our telehealth services for Allied Health will need to complete the Online Intake Form.
